HOW ABOUT THE AUGUST 21ST TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE?

If you sign your name to something, what does it leave behind? Your signature of course! We saw God’s signature this past week, but few even know it.

Across the United States people traveled hundreds of miles to great viewing locations where the 70-mile wide path of the solar eclipse would make its swathe clear across America, from one end to the other. The solar event affected almost every state in the Union.

Twelve states received the shadow of almost near-total darkness. Indeed.

America has a serious condition. That condition is lack of awareness about what is happening in our culture and in the world at large. We are “IN THE DARK”.

I can’t live carefree and happily as I did when a child, being taught to look forward to the Return of Jesus Christ. So many pictures filled my mind with joy when I thought about Him coming on the clouds, arms stretched wide, with the sunlight of His glory streaming all around Him.

At that age I had no clue about the enormity and intensity of the events that have to occur before the Lord’s One and Only Return.

But even reading my Bible as a young girl I noticed that events described in church with regard to Christ’s Return did not always line up with the Biblical account. Absorbing the prophecies with a child’s mind I was able to pare away the man-made determinations from the pure truth of what the Bible said.

Do you believe in signs? You should! All the prophesied events appearing around us bear the SIGNature of God. The enormous number of earthquakes and volcanoes, often simultaneously exploding around the planet give huge evidence of massive Earth changes.

Romans   8:22  says, “All creation groans” in anticipation of His coming. He is the Creator and King of the Universe. Would it not make sense that His nearing arrival -  this shift of energies - influence the heavenly and earthly bodies? If one considers the inherent power accompanying the One who created everything from nothing, and thinks that power doesn’t somehow precede or surround Him or influence anything He touches – then they are very wrong.

Creation longs for its original pristine state…the one in which God looked happily upon His work, thinking that it was very good. Man has come a long way in defiling this planet, not just its ecology and environment, but spiritually as well. This planet’s ground has been soaked by the remnants of wars, greed and lust.

Many say the “signs” are speeding up. It certainly seems that way. Everything seems to be happening faster and faster as though it is building to a crescendo.

 Earth is suffering what the Lord says are “Birth pangs”, just as a woman in labor suffers increasing pain and tremors, knowing something is about to be birthed. She hopes that as the quickening occurs, it will soon be over, and she will be able to see the magnificent result of the suffering she endured.

Jesus Himself spoke about the signs of His Return in Matthew 24 and Mark 21. I won’t go over them all, but He mentioned earthquakes which have always captured my interest.

The increase in the number, frequency and intensity of these events has become profound. As a child I remember remarking when our TV announced an earthquake in some far off part of the world. It didn’t happen very often.

Granted, our scientific community didn’t always have the seismic measuring instruments then that we do now. We also didn’t have the instantaneous methods of communication which we do now with the Internet. However, I was careful to watch for these events as a child, being interested in science, and also knowing the prophecies. So inwardly I watched as over the years the number of earthquakes has increased such an amount as to note radical changes in tectonic plate movement.

Dutch Sinse has an amazing earthquake watch site, where he shows in three dimensions the number, location and depth of all earthquakes around the globe on a daily basis. Based on years of watching the patterns, he can often predict these events and where they will occur, based on his knowledge of the tectonic plates, and how pressure under them reacts.

  

          

Checking his site on August 18^th, three days before the eclipse, I heard him say that those next three days would be rife with large earthquake activity. The quakes would include a swarm of long dormant volcanic action, along with Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier showing pressure from the West coast, along the California coast, as well as some quakes on the New Madrid fault line.

The New Madrid fault line over Middle America is not mentioned as often as the Cascadia region which starts around Oregon and precedes down along California, nor the San Andreas line which follows the Cali coast. But the New Madrid fault zone may play a greater role in America’s future than we can possible know at this moment.

                     

 This large, solar eclipse we witnessed on Monday, was the first of two complete solar eclipses which will occur within seven years of each other. Seven years from now, on April 8, 2024, there will be another total solar eclipse, again reaching across the entire U.S. but this time, it will make a path that resembles an X mark over America. X marks a spot right over the New Madrid Fault zone, right where the southern tip of Illinois meets Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri and Indiana.

This is where the Missouri and Ohio rivers join. If a huge earthquake would happen to occur there, it could easily divide America into three sections, causing enormous flood devastation. That possible event could even shape our coastlines far differently than we see them now.

This last eclipse, which was the first in ninety-nine years to cover the United States, happened on the Jewish holiday, the 1^st of Elul, which is 40 days from Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.

(The 1918 solar eclipse was followed by a “huge flu pandemic that killed 50-100 million people worldwide”, according to Steve Ciccolanti.)

The first day of Elul ends the Jewish year of 5777, the year of “completion”.

Jewish historians always associated lunar eclipses with God’s judgements toward Israel. But they have always associated solar eclipses with God’s judgement upon other nations. The fact that the eclipse occurred on a Jewish holiday, and involved the entire United States, points to the idea that God was saying something to America, in particular.

Mark Biltz, on his Youtube video “The Coming Signs And The 40 Days” says he feels this forty day time period is of extreme importance. He mentions that “WW I started with a solar eclipse over both Eastern Europe and the Ottoman Empire.”

He also states that when the U.S. lost their greatest war casualties was after a solar eclipse crossed the U.S. in roughly the same path as last Monday’s event.

There is also a verse in scripture where Jesus says,

“A wicked and adulterous generation seeks a sign but no sign will be given to it but the sign of the prophet Jonah”. (Matthew 16:4).

Long ago I always equated that verse with Jesus being in the earth three days before the Resurrection, just as Jonah was in the whale’s gullet for three days. However, during the research I did for this article, one of the websites I visited mentioned that it was 40 days from the time Jonah announced to Nineveh until the time that the city turned around and repented to God for their wickedness. Basically they had 40 days to decide.

History also records a solar eclipse accompanied Jonah’s dire announcement  across Nineveh, (now called Mosul), on June 15^th, 763 BC. Called the Bur-Sagale eclipse, Steve Ciccolanti describes it as one of the most famous events of ancient history.

So from the date of the solar eclipse (1^st of Elul), until Yom Kippur, Day of Atonement, when the Hebrew people historically acknowledge their sins and repent, is a period of forty days.

Funny how this solar eclipse brings us to September 23^rd and another critical, monumental sign in the heavenlies, one that only happens about every 2,000 years. And this time will be the first time in human history that this constellational alignment will occur exactly as described.

In Revelation chapter 12 it states:

“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars”.

The verses go on to describe the woman giving birth to a “manchild”, who is caught up to heaven, and the woman being chased by a dragon into the desert, but a hole opening up in the desert, swallows and protects her.

Traditionally, Bible scholars had taken this symbolism to mean Mary the mother of Jesus, giving birth to Him, who was caught up into heaven at the ascension. But the rest of the verses remain a mystery.

However, in intervening years, astronomers and sky-sign watchers have discovered that an almost identical constellation alignment occurred immediately before the birth of Christ.

Some also speculate that this peculiar astral alignment gave the “Star of Bethlehem” its brilliance. It could be what the shepherds saw and also what the “wise men” from the East followed.

Immediately before the birth of Christ, the constellation of Virgo, “the virgin” was right below the star pattern of “Leo”, the Lion. The planetary body Jupiter moved into alignment into the constellation’s so-called “womb”, and stayed there, over the same period of time equivalent to a human gestational period.

This is happening again on September 23, 2017, with a small difference.

According to www.watchfortheday.org rumors activated in 2014 that the eclipse between the blood moon tetrad of 2014/2015 would kick off the start of the Great Tribulation. According to that author, the 1^st eclipse occurred 1,260 days before Sept. 23, 2017. (1,260 days in the books of Revelation and Daniel refer to the 3 ½ year equivalent of half of the “Time of Jacob’s Trouble”, or “Tribulation”…the latter half being the worst time to endure.)

Some scholars surmised that perhaps Sept. 23^rd, 2017 was the halfway point suggesting it would fully occur from April 2014 to April 2021. But according to “watchfortheday.org” that wouldn’t line up correctly with the Jewish feast days.

The seventh trumpet, (considered the very end of the Tribulation) occurs right before Revelation chapter 12.

In addition to the woman clothed with stars symbolizing Mary, who birthed Messiah in Bethlehem, the female figure can also be interpreted as Israel. The twelve stars could portray Israel’s tribes. The child still represents Messiah Yeshua, born of the tribe of Judah, from Jesse (the Root), and  of the House of David.

As mentioned previously, the astral line-up which occurred in approximately 3 B.C. is slightly different than the astral alignment of Sept. 23^rd, 2017.

Only 9/23/17 narrows the alignment to the fall equinox. Only in 2017 will the moon “under her feet”  occur a few days after a new moon.

Leo, around her head, comprises nine main “stars”, but on only this occurrence do Mercury, Mars and Venus provide the 10^th, 11^th and 12^th reflective bodies to make up “12 stars”.

The most unique part of all is Jupiter. Although it lines up within the framework of Virgo every dozen years, in 2017 Jupiter enters “the virgin’s” womb. A woman’s travail and pain of childbirth are equated with “tribulation”. Will Jupiter leave Virgo just as the “Tribulation” begins?

The reasons above explain why only in Sept. 2017 do all the pieces fit.

The author of “watchfortheday.org” also suggests that Jupiter will be in the sign of Taurus on the 9^th day of AV, 2024 (also a year of solar eclipse across the U.S.).

In Hebrew, Taurus equates to “Coming Judge”.

We must recall Matthew 24:

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And there shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”

“SIGNS” mean portents, warnings or foreshadowing of things to come.

Those who said in the past, “Oh people have talked about Jesus coming back for hundreds of years”, did not live in a time period when a synchronicity of signs occurred, as is happening now. The Bible warns those who foolishly mock.

Israel became an official nation again in 1948, fulfilling Bible prophecy. As the Jewish people have been drawn there in modern times again, from many other nations, Bible prophecy is fulfilled.

Isaiah 66:8 reads,

“Who hath heard such a thing? Who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.”

When questioned by His disciples how they would recognize the timing of these events He responded, after a long passage of certain signs to watch for…Mark 13:28 and 30:

“Now learn a parable of the fig tree; when her branch is yet tender and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near.”

“Verily, I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.”

Many Bible scholars believe verses 28 and 30 go hand in hand, marking the rebirth of the nation of Israel. They also believe that the generation of those who live to see these events would not die before the Return of Messiah.

A biblical generation is seventy years. Israel became a nation again in 1948. Add 70 years and it brings us up to 2018. I am not setting dates. Just telling you what I have learned over the years. You can draw your own conclusions.

I can’t placate myself with mind-soothing imagery of being whisked out of "Oz" like the proverbial “Dorothy”, as a large majority of the Christian church does.

The proffered scriptural basis for the rapture theory is extremely flimsy. An entire dogma has sprung up on the basis of a only a handful of verses cobbled together and rationalized.

But that's so easily imagined by the soft, spoiled, American-pasteurized Christian, expecting fast food, fast fixes, comfort, ease, and luxury that neither the rest of the world nor millions of martyrs of the past could have ever conceived.

Neither Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Corrie Ten Boom, Nora Lam, nor millions of God's Chosen People of the Holocaust, would have considered themselves so "special", so privileged, that they could escape the ravages of the hurricanes of history that devoured them, and their loved ones in spite of fervent faith.

Yes, they hoped to live. But like the long list of heroes of faith mentioned in Hebrews 11:33-35, we must ponder the possibility that we too may be called to give our all for our faith in God...

"Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection..."

REMEMBER THAT THE CROWD OF MARTYRS IN REVELATION 7:9-14, THOSE DRESSED IN WHITE, WHO WOULD NOT TAKE THE MARK OF THE BEAST - WAS BEYOND NUMBER.

IF YOU THINK YOU WILL ESCAPE, YOU WILL MISS THE CLUES, EVEN AS THEY HAPPEN BEFORE YOUR EYES. YOU WILL SAY, "ON NO, THAT CAN'T BE THE 'MARK OF THE BEAST BECAUSE WE HAVEN'T BEEN WHISKED AWAY YET".

OR YOU WILL SAY, "OH NO - THAT COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE THE ANTICHRIST, BECAUSE AFTER ALL , WE HAVE TO BE "RAPTURED" BEFORE HE APPEARS."

YOU WILL TAKE THE MARK. MISS THE BOAT, AND POSSIBLY LOSE YOUR HEAD ANYWAY...IN THE PROCESS.

              

Believing that one will be magically carried away before the horrors begin is escape-fantasy promoting apathy. It provides an excuse for not focusing on Christ’s soon Return or the actual events preceding it.

It allows people to put off repentance, allows them to hang onto their greed, self-focus, and put off living a life pleasing to Our Messiah, except for Sabbath Day, and even then maybe living the "saintly life" only for an hour or two.

I truly believe we are living in the final generation before the Return of Jesus/Yeshua.

The thought of going through all the huge events expected to occur does not thrill me. 

However, having an idea of what may come, allows me to strengthen myself psychologically, and increases my faith because it stirs me to greater depths of getting to know the Lord and His Word.

The thought doesn’t frighten me either. Always the curious sort, and an observer of history, I hope to be documenting all the details. Knowing that my Rock, the Lord, is protecting me, chases away fear.

What does make me happy is the thought of seeing my Messiah face-to-face, receiving a brand new body (which doesn’t grow old, fat, or get sick). And seeing the wheezing Earth cleansed and refreshed, (hadash) with even more gorgeous vistas, but with pure air and water to take in, as we soak in the Light of His Glorious Presence, where He rules from The New Jerusalem during His New Millennial reign on Earth. The New Golden Age of Earth.

That - and HE is the Light to hope for at the end of the dark tunnel of Tribulation.

BELIEVER'S AUTHORITY AND SUPERNATURAL MULTIPLICATION

                                                                       

The Holy Spirit prompted me to re-read a book which I have been needing to re-read for a long time:  "THE BELIEVER'S AUTHORITY" by Kenneth Hagin.

                                  "THE BELIEVER'S AUTHORITY"

Since I have been reminded of my authority in Jesus Christ, and since I have been under such tremendous spiritual attack lately, I realized that I needed to take a different stance than "Woe is me!" I don't know why, after I've spent so many years learning these important principles, that I so easily lose sight of them. Guess I get caught up in the emotions and forget the TRUTH.

Joshua 1:5  "No one will be able to oppose you as long as you live, for I will be with you just as I was with Moses; I will not abandon you nor fail to help you." LBT

As I was reading the book, I saw a penciled note I had written years earlier. I hadn't even dated the note so no telling what year I wrote it. But I had written "VISIONS OF BASKETS". That is obviously supernatural multiplication!

                                                       

BASKETS OF BREAD     

     In my 365 Day-A-Year Bible I had recently read where the disciples had found themselves once-again without enough bread...this time for their own lunch, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat. (Mark 8:14-21.)

Jesus rebuked them for worrying about not having enough bread. Even more so, the rebuke was over still not recognizing WHO HE IS, WHAT POWER HE HAS, AND WHAT POWER HE HAS GIVEN TO US - HIS DISCIPLES!

"He asked them, 'Don't you remember? When I broke the five loaves for the 5,000, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?"

          "Five", they replied.
   
          ""And when I broke the seven loaves for the 4,000, how many basketfuls of pieces did                  you pick up?"

          "They answered, 'Seven'.

           "He said to them, 'Do you still NOT understand?"

I would feel terrible if Jesus rebuked me like that. But here I am, worrying about a place to live because my day-job isn't going well, and after a horrible conversation with the apartment manager where I live. I dared complain that I can hear the renter above me night and day, no matter what he does, even turn over in bed. She told me I could just move out anytime!

And the way she said it was almost like she was kicking me out for complaining!

And dummy me! I am the one who has the authority in Christ Jesus! Not her!

My mind went back over past events, and also recent alternative media accounts of how close we are to economic collapse and World War III. The mainstream media is not allowed to alarm the American public with such truths.

And I am storing food, as I believe the Lord is leading me to do.  I have been learning about the global economy for the last forty years, and see the signs of its total demise.

I was wondering to myself two days ago, when I packed canned food into boxes, and toilet paper...'Does that mean, as long as I have a little bit of something as a STARTER ...like the Widow of Zarepath who only had a little flour and oil, that God can use it to multiply it dramatically?


                                                                

Remember the account in I Kings 17:1-24 where Elijah went to Zarepath during a time of famine, to an area where prophets lived and were schooled? A widow of one of the prophets and her son were ready to give up the ghost and die because of the severe famine in the land.

Elijah's own Brook Cherith, where God had been supernaturally providing sustenance for him with water - dried up. Elijah had also been dropped bits of bread and meat that scavenging ravens would bring him, supernaturally at the Lord's command. But the source dried up. AS SOURCES SO OFTEN DO. So God gave Elijah direction to seek another CHANNEL of provision. Elijah obeyed and headed to Zarepath.

When the amazing prophet arrived, the widow was looking for tinder to prepare the fire to make their last meal.  She had just a tiny bit of flour and oil left in containers, most likely made of clay.

Keep in mind this was the widow of a prophet. (Remember God takes care of His own!) But the widow must have forgotten all the lessons she learned while her prophetic husband was alive. Surely she had seen miracles if she was living in a prophetic community! And perhaps her son forgot as well. Surely he had seen amazing things the Lord had done with, and for his father, before he died. So they both forgot what the Heavenly Father had done previously. They were ready to give up and die!

But the Word of God says He had already COMMANDED the widow to feed Elijah. Because she must have had at least some experience following the leading of the God of Israel, it was placed within her spirit to obey.

"Please make me something to eat first", said Elijah. The Bible does not say whether this widow knew the mighty prophet she was speaking with. He had done great exploits with the tremendous power of the Living God upon Him. (As an example to us for this very day!)

It was obviously a big step of faith for this Zarepath widow to give her only remaining food to this obvious stranger. But the Spirit of the Living God stirred faith within her to obey.

Elijah decreed that her pitchers and jars would always be full of meal from this day forward until the time when the famine stopped because of rain upon the land. He told the widow and her son to go gather as many containers as they could. So they went to neighbors and friends and gathered them all up. Obviously the surrounding people had plenty of empty jars because everyone else was out of food too. An entire prophetic community without faith! They had forgotten their lessons!

But now they had food for as long as the famine lasted.

NOW WE GET TO VIEW AN EXAMPLE OF RESURRECTION POWER. THE LORD DIDN'T STOP AT MIRACLE PROVISION. HE WANTED US TO REMEMBER THAT NOT ONLY CAN HE SUPPLY IN TIME OF NEED. BUT HIS RESURRECTION POWER IS THERE/HERE TO RAISE PEOPLE FROM THE DEAD, IF THE SITUATION REQUIRES. I am not talking zombies. I am talking about normal people who die and are raised again to life through the Power of the Living God...no jive hocus pocus!

God gave the widow an even greater test of faith. He will do that! He has to remind us over and over again sometimes of the things we have already learned. But He is faithful.

Then He takes us on to even greater lessons! Wow. Can you imagine this?

The widow's son dies. Thankfully, Elijah had apparently been hanging around that area for a time, perhaps even teaching the acolyte prophets. So God used Elijah to again save the day!

The widow asked Elijah if God was punishing her for her sins. She had laid her son up in his loft bedroom. Elijah didn't know everything. He wasn't sure what God was doing. But he obeyed God. It was his obedience to God that allowed God to entrust him with such power.

He stretched himself in prayer, over the child as he fervently prayed for the Lord to return life to the boy's body. Three times. So you see. It didn't happen the first time he prayed. It didn't happen the second time. But he persisted in prayer! Finally God heard Elijah's voice!

The boy came back to life. Elijah took him downstairs to see his mother. Convinced she said, that now she knew Elijah was REALLY a man of God. She had been doubting all this time? Maybe her name should have been Thomasina! (You know, like the doubting disciple Thomas!)

She said that because Elijah had helped God return her son back to life, she realized everything that came out of his mouth WAS TRUTH, AND THAT IT WAS FROM GOD. So this was how she measured Elijah's veracity. (Just as today there are many false prophets, we too, have to learn discernment. The Lord has said that many false prophets have been sent out. ) In the time period that we are living in deception abounds! But the Living God will never mislead you!

How do we know that we serve a Living God? HE STILL RAISES THE DEAD! (See my blog entry of April 2, 2016.)

So again, I pose the question. If I have just a little "starter" of something, like sour-dough bread starter that you always keep to make sour-dough bread...will that mean that I can take that little bit, pray over it, and God will expand it? Dramatically? YES!

Does it apply to other things too? Money? Places to lay one's head? Start with one pillow and bed and end up with as many as necessary? Why not? It's not about the substance. It is about God's ability and power to multiply exponentially. It's not us! Only the Lord. But we have to have the faith. We also have to be obedient!

I always wondered why the Lord took me through a time of training in the 1990's as a "Minute Man/Woman". No I don't mean the soldiers of the American Revolutionary army. Though my history-buff father DID teach me about Paul Revere warning that the British are coming! The American Minute Men were soldiers who were ready to leave their homes on a moment's notice. 

According to Wikipedia, they "were private colonists who independently organized to form well-prepared military companies, self-trained in weaponry, tactics and military strategies from the American Colonial  partisan militia during the Revolutionary War. THEY WERE ALSO KNOWN FOR BEING READY ON A MOMENT'S NOTICE!"

God was training me to have the ability to obey Him, without question, and get up and leave all my possessions if necessary, on a moment's notice. A "MINUTE WOMAN"  if you will. It had nothing to do with weapons. I don't even know how to shoot. But I do know how to aim the arrows of God's Word at the enemy! I do know how to pray and intercede for the Lord to do tremendous things. And I have seen miraculous answers to prayer.

I always wondered looking back over the years why the Lord took me through that obedience training, to leave everything behind, more than once, when my son was young. I know reviewing it in retrospect it seems irresponsible to drag a child back and forth between Pennsylvania and a Christian community in Bradenton, Florida.  My ex-husband did not support us in any way. If anything, he presented danger to our lives. But the Lord kept drawing me to Florida, until He finally provided the opportunity to move there permanently.

I truly believed, and still do, that I was following the leading of the Holy Spirit. I'll never forget the time I had about twenty dollars in my pocket. The Lord told me to go back to Florida again. I knew that $20.00 would not cover gas all the way from Pennsylvania to Florida. So I asked the Lord to supernaturally extend the gas. And He DID. We made it all the way to Bradenton on one or two tanks of gas! You see you have not, because you ask not! James 4:2

Over twenty years later, after I had lost a very well-paying job in the faltering economy of 2009, I was forced to find a cheaper place to live. I couldn't find a job for at least two years. I didn't even have money for food. 

The Lord gave me a vision of walking into a bakery lined with metal shelves full of hot, fresh bread. I could almost smell it in my vision. The Lord provided free bread WEEKLY AT THE NEXT PLACE WHERE I LIVED. AND SOMETIMES FREE FOOD AS WELL!

So you see, God can give you supernatural provision, guidance, multiplication and enable you to survive in a time period when masses are dying around you.

Psalm 91:7 "Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you."

STAND ON THE PROMISES OF THE WORD OF GOD!   The Bible, obedience to God and faith are the only means by which you will get through this upcoming time period.

There is another book which I would recommend everyone read:

2) Train ourselves to overcome the immediate reaction

I caution you. Laurence Gonzalez is most likely not a Holy Spirit-filled Christian. So read his book with the Lord's discernment and wisdom. But I do believe that he has some interesting truths that will help many to overcome in situations where it looked impossible.

Another technique for survival during the upcoming days is to PRAY IN THE SPIRIT CONSTANTLY! How do you do that?

The Apostle Paul, who wrote a large part of the New Testament, said:

"I speak with tongues more than you all." I Corinthians 14:18

THIS WAS THE SECRET TO HIS SPIRITUAL POWER! IT IS WHY HE WAS ABLE TO WRITE A LARGE PORTION OF THE NEW TESTAMENT.

How do I do that? You ask.

First, RECEIVE THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.  ACTS 19:1-6 SAYS: NLT

"...Paul traveled through Turkey and arrived in Ephesus, where he found several disciples." Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?"

           "No" they replied, "we don't know what you mean. What is the Holy Spirit?"

           "Then what beliefs did you acknowledge at your baptism?" he asked.
            And they replied, "What John the Baptist taught."

            "Then Paul pointed out to them that John's baptism was to demonstrate a desire to turn  away from sin to God and those receiving his baptism must then go on to believe in Jesus, the one John said would come later. As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus.

            "Then, when Paul laid his hands upon their heads, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke IN OTHER LANGUAGES AND PROPHESIED."

Second, ASK FOR THE GIFT OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES.
            

Acts 2:4 NLT  "And everyone present began speaking in languages they didn't know, for the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. 

Acts 2:17-20 NLT "...What you see this morning was predicted centuries ago by the prophet Joel -

        'In the last days I will pour out my Spirit upon all mankind, and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men dream dreams. Yes, the Holy Spirit shall l come upon ALL MY SERVANTS, men and women alike, and they shall prophesy. And I will cause strange demonstrations in the heavens and on the earth - blood and fire and clouds of smoke; the sun shall turn black and the moon blood-red before that awesome DAY OF THE LORD ARRIVES."  

                                                            


This gift I received after the Baptism of the Holy Spirit has been invaluable to me. It gives me direction, encouragement, insight, wisdom I might not otherwise have, and helps other people as well. I won't go into all the details here. That's for another blog entry. Suffice it to say, I heard a minister at a large church in South Florida say, "Praying in the Spirit is the only way we are going to make it through this upcoming time period." HE WAS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.

When your emotions cause you to go into self-pity, remember THAT COMES FROM YOUR WEAK, OLD CARNAL SELF. BELIEVING IN JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOR HAS GIVEN YOU A NEW SELF. A NEW IDENTITY. IDENTIFY WITH WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST!

Y-O-U - YES - YOU! HAVE AUTHORITY IN THE NAME OF JESUS, IN THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION, AND OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT. WHAT DO WE NEED TO FACE 2015?

 Christians often forget that we live in a very real world. If Christians isolate themselves from what is happening, either culturally, socially or intellectually, we live in an idealized environment, that smacks of unreality. Instead of facing reality, we often detach ourselves from it - thinking "Oh - I'll get raptured!"

If you only associate with other Christians, or only  read, watch or listen to sermons or Christian-related input, or never think about anything outside one's own Christian "world-view" bubble YOU WON'T KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE REAL WORLD! Many have told me they "don't watch the news anymore."  What good can that do? Isolating yourself is not a solution.

 Instead, listen to reliable news sources on the internet like HAGMANN AND HAGGMAN, or www.worldnetdaily.com.  But you will need to open your perception and don't give in to narrow-mindedness. But these are conservative news sources! In order to have a well-rounded, objective viewpoint of what is truly occurring you must read many types of publications. Your ability to discern the truth will grow as you develop your critical thinking skills.

 This does not mean you should abandon your God-given discernment and swallow everything you hear and see "hook, line, and sinker"! But use your Holy Spirit-enlightened perception and decision-making ability to separate truth from fiction. Pray as you read, listen and observe. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you.

 Pollyanna Christianity (thinking everything is okay; or don't rock my boat)... is not real! We live in a violent world, in very trying times, and we must face the fact that Christianity is being threatened.  Indeed, our very comfortable, American existence, that several generations have known and come to expect, could come shattering down around our feet at any moment.

If you don't realize this then you have been living in a fantasy. You haven't been paying attention. Or you are listening to just the white-washed mainstream media that tells you only what the government wants you to hear. If you don't have Internet accessibility you won't know the truth about what is actually happening in our nation, and around the globe. Even if you don't like politics you must keep yourselves informed. The conservative Christian community across the United States has basically forfeited our nation due to a lack of involvement in what is not considered "religious". We are living in America's 11th hour.

I happened to curiously look up the Rand Corporation website, in 2009, wondering what track that institution had taken, in the many years since I had heard something publicly stated about it. Their main page had suggested "talking points" for journalists. There were also articles about the necessity to arm local police forces with military weaponry. It was very obvious that the Rand Corporation had exceeded its reputation as a "Think Tank" from the 1960's through the nineties, and had become a policy provider for not only the military, but also gave instructions to main-stream media journalists. It woke me up!

Therefore when Christians discuss what is happening in the world, or the topic of a NEW YEAR, we must seriously consider what is happening in the culture around us. To do otherwise would be cultural suicide.

As Christians, we have ignored what our popular society is doing to the extent that we have allowed evil to become predominant without restraint. Many Christians have simply gone along for the ride, even swimming in the tidal wave of corruption and witchcraft that has inundated our schools, the music and movie industries, and most definitely our politics.

I could list all the affronts against Christianity and our religious liberties over the past year. There were many. Instead, let's talk about topics which affect our way of life, because unless we find a way to KEEP the liberties we have enjoyed for decades here in the U.S., then we will not be able to practice our Christianity.

So rather than focusing only on the religious aspects of what is happening in our world, things that impact us culturally, which are of prime importance, must be brought to your attention.

Family homes, hospitals, Long Term Care centers, and airports are commandeered to house these thousands of families. Don't be fooled by the media calling them "children". Teachers in public schools across the nation, even as far as New England tell that white-haired adult males posing as "children" fill their classes, so that they can get their "free" education alongside American teenagers.

Some unwitting churches fell into the manipulated-compassion trap, taking in illegals thinking they are doing them a "Christian service", especially when Uncle Sam is paying them $6,000. per month per child.  Yet they are totally ignoring the impact on American culture, the tax burden on a fast-fading American middle class, and the already maxed-out employment situation, misreported by most mainstream media.Those who have given up looking for work, part-timers, the underemployed, and the resulting suicides aren't even counted on the rolls.

Millions of American professionals had to settle for $10.00 an hour jobs, or even less, just to get back into the job market since 2008. Now what happens to all those low-paying jobs we formerly middle class American citizens are fighting tooth and nail for? We now have even MORE competition! 

These are topics of great importance to the average American Christian. Pastors should first have compassion on much of the country's citizens who still struggle paying their electric bills or car repairs, because they now have to make ends meet on meager pay. The economy has not improved as much as the mainstream media would like us to believe.

We are just living in the "New Normal" as many of my highly-educated but underemployed friends say of our new reality.

You might think that is an exaggeration. But our military is currently being decimated from within. Military spending cuts, the firing or forced retirement of many military leaders who are not in agreement with the current administration's policies, and a culling of those who would not fire on or disarm American people,  is currently taking place. Those who are Christians or have conservative viewpoints are being forced out. We must acknowledge that our military is being shredded from within. 4.   People are being arrested, stigmatized, peer-pressured and ridiculed for criticizing Islam, because it's not "politically correct", but others are being rewarded for restricting and squeezing Christianity out of the marketplace, schools, government offices, and just about everywhere.

Meanwhile, Conservatives and Christians are being demonized, sued for standing up for their beliefs, and  cut off by certain news outlets, when they dare mention something regarding Christianity, for example the sports figure who was deliberately cut off when he mentioned Jesus on CNN. It almost would appear that there is an agenda planned to eradicate Christianity.

You might not see it if you are not closely observing the sum total of everything that is going on in our nation. But Christians had better open their eyes. So much is happening so fast that you might wake up next year and find out that the Bible itself has been outlawed. At this point nothing would be surprising.

     Are you aware that when you watch TV, or a movie regardless of whether on TV, or your phone or computer,  your brain enters an entirely RECEPTIVE and MEDITATIVE state? Your brainwaves change into what one could term, A HYPNOTIC STATE. That is why advertising as presented on television for the last sixty years has been incredibly successful.

Therefore, unlike in live performance - Hitler's day, when you watch a politician's speech, or actor's on a movie, your brain is being impacted by the information, FAR MORE THAN YOU REALIZE. In fact, certain orators and politicians use a form of mind control, called NEUROLINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING, to make the effect even more pronounced.

So basically, when you watch movies and TV programs, which are calculated to sway you to a certain viewpoint, or for example, watch famous politicians make what appear to be charismatically compelling speeches, your brain waves are actually being "entrained" to recive the information hypnotically. This could even propel some people into a state of awe or WORHSIP. 

That means, if you are watching someone, whether movie star, sports hero, or politician, you may be tricked into "idolizing" that person. Granted some people don't have to be "tricked". They do it anyway. But if you have a propensity to like or admire the person in the first place, this process in your brain equates to outright "WORSHIP" of their images on TV.

Or perhaps you might have for example, a politician on a televised speech saying, "Don't worry, I am going to fix this economic situation affecting the middle-class, by raising taxes on the very rich". Because you want to so-desperately believe this as truth, and because the reasoning faculty of your brain has been put on hold, by slow brain waves that cause the emotional, right-side of your mind to kick into gear, YOU WILL BELIEVE THIS STATEMENT AS FACT!

7. Then we also have THE IRS TARGETING CONSERVATIVES AND CHRISTIANS, with orders that appear, upon researching the matter, to have come from the top echelons of power. 8. THEN CAME EBOLA. Never in a million years would Americans have guessed that a fatal plague would be deliberately brought into the United States. People in Dallas, Nebraska, Georgia, New York, New Jersey and North Carolina feared for their lives and that of their families. 

The CDC promised it wouldn't spread. It did. They promised it wouldn't become airborne. Later it was admitted that it could be "aerosolized". People taking care of the sick got it.

 Rumor has it that the CDC has gone silent about continuing cases. The latest case recently flew to Nebraska. That is the geographical center of the country. It would be over-reacting perhaps to see a more sinister pattern, than just the haphazard assignment of patients to the sprinkling of medical centers specifically designed to handle such cases. Matthew 24:7 mentions pestilences otherwise known as plagues, as one of the signs immediately preceding Christ's coming.

9.  RUSSIA THREATENS WAR WITH THE U.S. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MANY YEARS. The Bearish nation also has rapidly stepped up its show of military force over the United States, and other countries as well, threatening anyone who interferes with their Ukrainian takeover. Tensions are fierce with North Korea threatening us. Particularly after the Sony hacking event. Iran is an ever-present nuclear nightmare. Wars and rumors of war. 10.   WILD WEATHER, AND EVER INCREASING EARTHQUAKES, have also become the 'NEW NORMAL'.  Several big volcanoes have erupted concurrently,  in Hawaii, Japan, and also Iceland. That is quite interesting, when everyone practically gasped to hear of Mt. St. Helens, back in 1980. It seemed like an unheard of event.

Let's not forget the sinkholes, very loud booms, and sound of trumpets occurring around the country and around the world. Although it is possible some of the sounds, especially in Oklahoma, could be a result of "fracking", it is impossible for that to be the explanation for all of these previously unheard of phenomena.

11.  PERHAPS MOST SIGNIFICANT OF ALL are the two MORE "blood moons" yet to appear on April 4, 2015 on Passover, and September 28, 2015 during the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot). Two occurred in 2014. In fact the second blood moon appeared the same week that Ebola patient Eric Duncan arrived at the Dallas hospital for treatment.

These latter two "blood moons" are the second half of the "tetrad" as described by John Hagee, and Mark Biltz, as highly important signs verifying End Time Bible Prophecies. They are closely linked with Israel, God's prophetic "time clock".

The number one question retired General Jerry Boykin gets asked is "What about the FEMA camps?"  Senator Hastings tried again to re-introduce this bill into NDAA 2013. The end-of-year NDAA is one legal authorization that must pass every year in order to pay our military service members. Lawmakers tack un-passable legislation on the end of the NDAA in order to pass the unwanted laws sneakily.

In addition, the 2013 NDAA, voted on annually by Congress, included an expansion of power by the military to detain American citizens. This bill does apply to American citizens on U.S. soil.

LEGAL PRECEDENT

Anyone who has even an inkling of knowledge about the law knows that it is based on something called "legal precedent". Court decisions made now are usually built by lawyers and judges studying previous cases. Then traditionally, those law professionals would use previous decisions, that occurred before to guide their present decisions.

What does that mean for those who know, understand and rely on God's Word, our Holy Book, the Bible?

It means we have previous examples to set our faith level upon.

Take for example Elijah. Running ahead of Ahab's fine, horse-driven chariot, Elijah beat the King back to his palace ahead of him - ON FOOT.  Granted, Elijah was probably quite fit, traveling long distances across the desert, often going without food. But without the supernatural empowering of God's Spirit, I don't think that would have happened. Do you realize that Elijah was just a man like we are - albeit he was entirely dedicated to God. How many of you can say the same? The Bible says:

        "Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah, and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab, to the entrance of Jezreel."   I King 18:46 NKJV

        "Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months."   James 5:17 NKJV

Do you want to have the same kind of power that Elijah had? It is possible. With faith.

Follow after the Lord with all your heart, live holy, and ask Him to empower you with that same Spirit that hovered over Elijah! God is calling the willing heroes who will follow after Him, leaving everything else behind, and learning to hear and obey His Voice.

In fact, the Lord promises in Acts 2 and in Joel 2:28-32 that He will pour out his Spirit in great measure in the Last Days. Indeed,the Bible says He will do this during the time when the sun goes dark, (eclipse?), and the moon turns blood red. (Blood moons?).

        Regarding the disciples and those who had gathered in the upper room and received a mighty outpouring of God's Spirit so much so that onlookers seeing them afterward thought they were drunk, apostle Peter made a speech to the gathered crowd in the street:

       "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 'And it shall come to pass IN THE LAST                   DAYS, saith God, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall                   prophecy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; And on my               servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out IN THOSE DAYS of my Spirit; and they shall                     prophesy:  And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood and fire and         vapour of smoke: THE SUN SHALL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS AND THE MOON INTO           BLOOD, BEFORE THAT GREAT AND NOTABLE DAY OF THE LORD COME.' "

Philip, one of Jesus' disciples, was supernaturally transported from one place to another in Acts 8:39.

        "And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that        the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.
        "But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he                came to Caesarea."    Acts 8:38-39   KJV


Do you really KNOW the God you serve? He is amazing! He is the God who created the Universe with His Words. ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD!   

       "Jesus said unto him, 'If thou canst believe, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT         BELIEVETH.'  Mark 9:23   IT CAN'T GET ANY PLAINER THAN THAT!

Are you a follower of Jesus Christ? A disciple of Him? He told his disciples while He was here and THIS ALSO GOES FOR HIS CURRENT DISCIPLES:

        "You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and             bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain that WHATSOEVER YOU ASK OF THE                      FATHER IN MY NAME, he may give it to you."

Do you want to multiply bread in the upcoming time of famine? Jesus was simply demonstrating HOW in Matthew 14:17-20.

        "And they said unto Him, 'We have here but five loaves and two fishes.' 
        "He said, 'Bring them hither to me.'
        "And He commanded the multitude to sit on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two           fishes, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and brake; and gave the loaves to the disciples,         and the disciples to the multitude.   And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of             the fragments that remained 12 baskets full."

Do you want to be able to walk on the waves of a sea like Jesus did? Oops! WHO did? Jesus AND Peter did. If Peter's faith had not failed him he would have made it to his destination. You think it can't happen in modern times? IT HAS. Whatever your faith will allow you to believe for, IF YOU ASK WITH THE RIGHT MOTIVES, God CAN and MAY do for you, if the circumstances demand a miracle! And if you can open your heart and mind to believe!   (Matthew 14:29).

If you don't know the Word of God, in these upcoming times it is possible that you might sink. Better dig in now and learn what He has done for others previously. You don't want to sink in 2015, 2016, 2017, when ever-increasing waves of tribulation, of LABOR PAINS roll over the earth until His return.

        "For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time."   NLT

You can argue end-time prophecy timing all you want, but the fact of the matter is that what is occurring IN REALITY may outpace your Bible knowledge, or perhaps your perceived expectations. 

Better get to know His Word starting today so you have precedents to stand on. You must know what the Lord has done for others so that your faith can enlarge to believe He will do it for you too!

Have you ever heard the verse, "I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly                believes in me, he will HIMSELF BE ABLE TO DO THE THINGS THAT I DO; AND HE            WILL DO EVEN GREATER THINGS." John 14:12

Do you believe the Bible? Well if you do, remember, you can't just believe only the parts you like. You have to believe ALL of it. Jesus Himself said this. He wants you to believe it.

Don't get hung up on the word "greater" above, as some people do. Some people try to argue that it only means "greater in number".  Goodness, why get hung up on the word "greater" at all? Just doing any miracle Jesus did would be amazing, let alone GREATER..."bigger", "more astounding".  

So, don't take my word for it. TAKE HIS WORD FOR IT! Whatever we ask in HIS NAME. Its about HIS NAME. HIS REPUTATION.

His love wants to remove fear from your hearts. That is why He has given us the Holy Spirit. The more you can be filled with His Spirit during this upcoming time, the less fear you will have. 

It is true that when you make a commitment to Christ, or in other words, "ask Him to be your Personal Saviour", you receive a "deposit" of His Holy Spirit. But wouldn't you RATHER be as filled up to the brim and OVERFLOWING with His Spirit as possible? If so - ask Him for the BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.  

What? You haven't HEARD OF the BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT? Or maybe someone said something mocking about the "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" to make you think there's something wrong with it. Someone JUST MIGHT BE AFRAID you will get SUPERSIZED!

The early Christians in places outside Jerusalem, aside from the 120 gathered in the upper room the Day of Pentecost, also didn't know about what God was doing...until other Christians told them, how He was AND STILL TODAY is pouring out His Spirit in great measure!

            "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed", he asked them.
            "No", they replied. "we haven't even heard that THERE IS a Holy Spirit." Acts 19:2 NLT

WE NEED THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN ORDER TO SURVIVE THE DAYS AHEAD. Don't turn down His gift of EMPOWERMENT  to help you make it to the very END.

       "But you shall receive POWER when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be my         witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8

Do you realize this was the last thing Jesus said before He left? This must have been the message He wanted to remain in EVERY CHRISTIAN'S HEART. 

When you receive the Baptism of His Holy Spirit, He brings ability, efficiency and might! That is what we need to be victorious in these Last Days before Christ's return.

Do you want to be Supermen and Superwomen? Do you want to be able to do the things that Jesus did and more? Receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. But you must follow Him with all your hearts, and obey His commandments, and obey the Voice of His Holy Spirit. So no matter what happens, you will be prepared for ANYTHING!

WHAT DO WE NEED FOR 2015? The empowerment of God's Holy Spirit to face any challenge. Please do not let this day go by without asking Jesus Christ to be your Personal Savior. And if you already have, then don't hesitate to ask Him for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. He will answer. You don't even have to be in church. Ask Him right now wherever you are sitting or standing!

Don't look forward to the future with dread or fear. Look ahead with joy, hope and courage. If you have received Jesus as your Savior, and have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, you have the one and only MOST POWERFUL FORCE behind you and WITHIN YOU. 

YES. WITHIN YOU - that has the power over all these things, events, circumstances. But you must access that power through FAITH. With the Holy Spirit dwelling within us - we are UNSTOPPABLE! UNBEATABLE!  You can become one of the Lord's DREAD CHAMPIONS!

Know the Word of God. Speak the Word of God. Believe the Word of God. Send it forth into the atmosphere with your voice. Speak VICTORY! 

SHOUT:  "No weapon formed against me shall prosper!"  Isaiah 54:17

Thank God because His Word says He ALWAYS causes us to triumph, even if it doesn't look that way to the natural mind.  II Corinthians 2:14

Knock down those spiritual enemies that you can't see but are nonetheless trying to fill you with fear. Shake off that doubt! FOR THE VICTOR LIVES WITHIN YOU!

You won't be sorry. You will indeed be equipped to face the days ahead in this New Year - 2015.
